On January 27 Nathan and Per drove out I-10 to the Chuckwalla Mountains. We took the Red Cloud road exit and drove on the dirt road for a bit, turning left toward the radio tower. We parked partway up the access road, a little before the gate, and walked the reast of the steep and rough access road, to the top (1148 meters). We had bad weather around us, especially to the West, but managed to escape the rain.
