Hiding rattler 2002/8/12. 8 of 10
While walk South near the river, we startled a rattle-snake. It very reasonably rattled to give us warning, and then slid off the patch into this bush, rattling all the while. Per was walking first, and took this picture, after it had settled under the bush, making it hard to see. This was Peter's first encounter with a rattler.
