On a blustery day in February, Per and Nathan were enjoying the hot-tub. We heard cracking noises and finally pin-pointed them to the Modesto Ash just outside the fence. We were starting to get nervous when a big heavy branch started falling towards us. Nathan managed to scramble out; Per had to settle for standing up against the house wall and under the eave as the tree fell. Neither of us got a scratch.

About an hour later the City of Cupertino Tree Services crew arrived, and set to work.
